About Vibration Testing
The Vibration Test uses the Web Vibration API to trigger your device's haptic motor. This helps verify if your phone's vibration is functioning correctly.
Note: iOS Safari does not support the Vibration API. This test works best on Android devices and some desktop browsers.
How to Use
- Make sure your phone's vibration is enabled in settings
- Tap any pattern button to feel the vibration
- If nothing happens, check that your browser supports the Vibration API
- Create custom patterns using comma-separated millisecond values
Useful Custom Pattern Examples
Short pulses like 100,50,100 work well for notification checks, while longer bursts such as 400,100,400 are better for confirming whether the motor is strong enough to feel through a case or pocket.
If haptics still feel weak, compare results with the Sound Test and Multi Touch Test. When several feedback-related features feel inconsistent, the cause is often device settings, battery saver mode, or worn hardware.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why doesn't vibration work on my iPhone?
Apple's iOS does not allow web pages to access the vibration motor for security/privacy reasons. This is a hardware limitation that cannot be bypassed.
My Android phone doesn't vibrate?
Check that: 1) Vibration is enabled in phone settings, 2) You're using Chrome or Firefox, 3) The page has focus. Some battery saver modes also disable vibration.
